As our most powerful amplifiers, the SPA1400 and SPA1400C have the ability to run up to 660 watts in stereo at 2 Ohm or up to 1320 watts mono-bridged at 4 Ohm. They feature two variable speed fans and a massive sized heat sink to keep cool in even the most demanding situations.
The SPA1400C is of the same design and includes a built-in 24dB / octave, 2-way Linkwitz-Riley electronic crossover, which allows you the flexibility to feed the upper range to Channel A, while the low range goes to Channel "B", or vice-versa. Unlike some other amps on the market which have a partial crossover, this fully functional 2-way is variable up to 2500Hz so that you can use it for highs to mids as well as for sub-woofers.
Balanced XLR thru jacks are switchable to give you the choice of either passing the input signal to other amps in your rack pre or post-crossover. In this "post" or crossover out mode, the XLR thru jacks will reflect the crossover points you have selected to send to Channels A & B. For example, if Channel A is your highs, then the Channel A thru jack will pass the highs out to other amps.
With your purchase of the SPA1400C, you avoid buying an external crossover, saving between $100 to $200, a rack space, and the cost of the cables.
