The Crate Pro Audio PS-156T is a 3-way, wide angle, vertical array speaker enclosure. The speaker is direct-radiating with a vented woofer section, a 6 inch midrange transducer and a high-efficiency tweeter. These professional components are housed in a durable enclosure with a rugged 16 gauge steel front grille for superior protection. This speaker is specifically designed for small venues where a wide coverage angle is necessary to provide even sound to all listeners in the room. The PS-156T is a perfect addition to larger sound systems to fill areas that are not well covered. The PS-156T is equipped with a pair of Speakon ® jacks and a pair of 1/4" jacks. Speakon ® connectors are recognized as the standard for professional installations, assuring a secure, permanent connection that won’t corrode, vibrate loose or be as easily tampered with as 1/4" phone plugs. While the 1/4" jacks are convenient, use of the Speakon ® jack is recommended when using power amplifiers over 150 watts, for permanent installations or when daisy chaining a number of speakers.

(A) The Speakon ® and 1/4" jacks are all wired together in parallel with each other, allowing easy daisy chaining from one speaker to another. Any of the jacks may be used as an input or a through connection. The PS-156T has an impedance of 8 ohms – up to four could be powered by one amplifier if the amp is rated for 2 ohm operation.
