High fidelity and true stereo imaging are now an affordable reality. The PE-6I/PE-6 is a powerhouse in a small package with critical component selection, computer aided cabinet design, built-in protective devices and multiple application options.

The PE-6I is housed in a rugged, Thiele-aligned trapezoidal enclosure painted with an incredibly hard, environmentally safe water-borne polyurethane paint. The grille is made of durable 20GA steel. Both the enclosure and the grille are ivory white and can be easily repainted to match the decor if required. The PE-6I is designed to accept stripped bare wires or banana plugs, with convenient push-style input jacks. (For those who wish to use a 1/4" phone plug, a banana to female 1/4" phone jack cable is also available through your dealer – part number ACFQBN). The crossover employs two incandescent lamps for dynamic tweeter protection. The PE-6I cabinet is fitted with mounting points for the OmniMount (TM) 75-Series wall and ceiling mounting systems. Wall and mic stand mounting bracket kits are available separately from your Crate Pro Audio dealer.

The PE-6 is housed in the same style enclosure as the PE-6I, except the PE-6 is covered with extremely roadworthy black Ozite, has a black 20GA steel grille, and has no mounting points. The PE-6 is equipped with a pair of standard 1/4" input jacks. Both the PE-6I and the PE-6 have extremely smooth frequency response throughout the audio spectrum. The total range is from 60Hz to 22kHz with a usable low frequency limit (-10dB down) of 46Hz. The speakers have been optimized for the best performance close to a wall, or in a half space environment. The speaker components have been acoustically aligned and the crossover designed for optimum phase response for very accurate stereo imaging and true sound reproduction.
